Derek Winchester, 33, is a VoIP consultant for Veraz Networks. He currently designs VoIP solutions for major carriers worldwide. Prior to Veraz, he was a Network Manager for ACS Healthcare Solutions where he managed a staff of 10 networking and security professionals while also operating as infrastructure architect. Derek served as Lead Integration Engineer Lucent Technologies’ Professional Services. He provided technical leadership for several security and VoIP projects. Derek was also a contributing author for Inc. Syngress Media’s CCNP Routing Study Guide. In his free time, Derek enjoys power lifting.
